DVD X Copy Gold Activation

A couple of years ago I purchases 321 Studios DVD X Copy Gold. Upon installation the software had to be activated (presumably at the 321 web site) The program worked great and enebled me to make back-up copies of movies that I had purchased to be used incase the original disk became damaged.
A few weeks ago I had to re-format and redo windows xp. I am having difficulty reinstalling the Dvd X Copy program. The program appears to install but when I go to run it it freezes on my screen - maybe trying to activate itself. The only way to get it to go away is to shut down and restart windows.
Does anyone know of a "work around" to get this software working again?

As far as i am aware DVDXCopy was removed from sale under threat of litigation for copyrite infringements ergo making registration impossible and the program unusable.

cracksites may be the answer, or you could use ShrinkDVD.

I was in the same boat. I spent 150.00 for this software from Compusa. I had a hard time getting it to work because they were not supporting it any longer, because of the legal troubles they were having. I later learned that 123 Studio was "Out of Business" Bankrupcy, I believe it was from a the legal fees. So I use a combination of Nero 6, DVDShrink, DVD Decrypter. They work pretty good and two of them are free.
