ad-aware hangs at conditional scan

Hi I have windows Xp pro. and when I try to run ad-aware pro se it stops and says busy on the performing the conditional scans. I have tired in safe mode and windows. What in the world can do to get this working right. hugs,

Hi,

Some parasites known to interfere with Ad-aware scans but since you say it didnt work in safe mode either, you may just need to re-install it.

Go here and download the latest version, uninstall your current version and install the new one, then download any updates and try again.

Aslo download Spybot S&D from here install and update it and run a scan.

You should probably run some online virus and trojan scans too:

HI, i have tried that, i have uninstalled twice, and got the very newest from the web as well and updated it. I guess i forgot to tell you that. Sorry. And i got the same result no matter what version i used. hugs,

Ok, try the online scans if you havnt doen already. Then go here, there are a few people that will be able to help you for sure.
