Shareware printing for Wireless Laptop

I had an IT guy install on my laptop and it worked fine with my PC printer wireless. It does not work now, he downloaded it for free when he was installing my router. Where can I get a free version? I have XP on a toshiba notebook. Thanks By the way our printer on the PC is not working either. It is a Hp, have tried reloading the software.
