not sure if in right forum, but I need help

I am not technically inclined by any means, but I recently did something to my computer. I somehow allowed ?trojans? and stuff into it. Everytime i try to get on any page. I get the ActiveX not running properly thing. Porn constantly pops up. I can't play my sims2. And since I messed things up, my bf is makingme figure it out. But I am clueless. Any help out there for me?

If you are running XP you may need to remove your restore points if they are infected, to do this follow these instructions.

start > all programs > accessories > system tools > system restore > disable system restore. Once you have disabled system restore the existing restore points will be removed. *Dont forget to re enable system restore once you have done this*
