Windows Media Player 9/10 Slows down MP3 play back

Here's a really strange problem... Whenever I play an MP3 file with Windows media player (ver 9 or 10) after the first 2 seconds of play back, the song sundenly slows down. It happens to every single mp3 file I've tried. However, if I use any other program such as Real Player, the mp3 files play just fine. I rolled back Media player from version 10 to 9, and the problem still exists .

I've checked for viruses and spyware, and came up empty.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I fixed it!!! I ran 'ccleaner.exe' and it fixed this problem as well as many others! it's a free program you can download from their website. Just do a search on ccleaner.exe andy you'll find it.
