Direct3D problems

Hi.

I have a MSI Gf4 Ti4200 128mband i have a problem with direct3D. My games run fine on openGL, its just direct3D. My hardware is all set up fine (have checked elsewhere) and the lastest directX and drivers are installed. Running 3Dmark2001se i have found that the problem i get is shown well in the high polygon count with 8 lights test. The screen almost jumps from one frame to another and in half-life the textures seem to move in and out of place.

This is a new computer, and i installed a new mouse and keyboard and have only really noticed the problem since. Apparently some mice can conflict with the NVOGLNT.DLL file but i am using win98se and don't know how to find out if thats the problem. If that is the problem how can i solve it?

I was hoping i just had an incorrect directX setting or something but i really don't know. Can anyone help me, it would be a great help.

Thanks, Ginster
