ID Number of old Office software

7-8 years ago I had a gateway system that had Office 2000. I still have the CD's and want to install it on my new system. However, when installing it asks for my product ID code. I don't have it. Is there a way I can get it from microsoft?

Call Microsoft and explain. They're pretty good (rumors notwithstanding ) about giving you a product key once they're satisified you own a legit copy.
