Hitman 2 Running Problem

i have hit a problem when i have loaded hitman 2 to my computer.(hp pavillion 710 europe).intergrated intel direct agp with 3d graphics.11mb shared video memory.When i try to run the game it says FATAL ERROR direct 3d unable to create device try changing resolution or colour depth.Which i have,still doesnt work also tried a patch from eidosinteractive site when this is used it does not recognise that there is a disk in the drive any help please i am desperate.Only a begginer when it comes to computers so be nice!

Give us more details ...ram, processor, operating system, etc.
Did you adjust color, hardware acceleration, and resolution? You can go to >start > run > and type "dxdiag" (without the quotes) and look for trouble. You can search the posts here for info as well. Lots of people having similiar problems. Get back to us and good luck.

128 mb ram,1.3ghz processor,40gig hard drive,12 months old, windows xp.adjusted colour and resolution still no luck.not sure what you mean about the hardware accelerator or the start run thing as i'm only a begginer when it comes to computers but thanx for trying to help

Click on your "start" button lower left corner. Then click on the "run" button. Then type "dxdiag" in the box and click "OK". You will be able to diagnose problems there.

i have looked at the above but dont really know what i'm looking for.there is imformation about my computer but can't see anything to do with errors.
