Internet connection problem

I have a tendency to get very irritated and do stupid things when my computers are not working and I have done just that today.

I have 2 computers connected thru a netgear(a-holes have not sent me my rebate yet) router to my cable modem and have for the past couple of weeks trying to get my printer sharing to work with no luck. But that's not the problem I need to resolve now.

Today I went into "tools" "internet options" "connections" and deleted my "dial-up VPN" settings. I added it back and set it up the same as this one but it still will not connect to the internet. Any help? thanks

It would help to know what settings you changed as each machine should have a different ip though router i.e 192.168.1.1-255 both machines should be recognized with different ip not the same,these settings can be changed under set up in router config.
It would also be of interest whether or not each machine has had driver disc from netgear installed as it has an auto set up function and would allocate the different ip`s for you or should.
