Runtime error message: Program: C:/WINDOWS/LIVING~1.SCR

Help!
My MIL downloaded a fish screensaver ("marine2free"), has uninstalled it, but ever since downloading it she has been having this annoying error message window coming up on her screen with this message:

"Runtime Error!
Program: C:/WINDOWS/LIVING~1.SCR
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the applications support team for more information."
Followed by "Okay" button."

Neither of us are computer-savvy enough to use programs such as "HighjackThis" (which requires runtime knowledge). So far we are running TrendMicro's HouseCall to see if it can detect anything.
How do we get rid of the LIVING`1.SCR file and stop that window from appearing all the time??

Many thanks!
Rachel

Hiya lubok

I would first go to the 'Run' box and type msconfig. From there you can select the 'Startup' tab and look for anything that might relate to Living~1.scr
If you can't find anything i would uncheck everything except the antivirus and firewall (this will make the computer start faster too)

If this does not work you can go to the search box and do a search for the file. If it does not find the file, change the search to include hidden files and folders. You should then be able to right click on the file and delete it

Red face Screensaver,Tax Cut=Runtime Error Message

To Vidstew

I tried your recommendations but I still have the problem. Any more ideas, please.

Problem seems related to a "free disk" in PCWorld for Tax Cut.

All you have to do to stop this error message is:
1. Right click you screen and go to Properties.
2. Select the "Screen Saver" Tab.
3. Change the screen saver to none(or any standard windows screen saver.)

The reason the message keeps coming up is because your computer is trying to go into screen savor mode with and uninstalled screen saver. Thous you get a message.
