copy error

hello friends,

this is my first post to this forum and i hope i come out with a solution to my problem.

i tried to copy a *.dat file to my PC which shows me an error message like "cannot copy:avseq01,data error(cyclic redundancy check)".

i need to copy this file,so plz tell me if is there any way out tht i can copy this file to my hdd and if there is any "copy paste" software available to solve this problem because i get these kind of errors usually.I have also checked my cd its perfectly fine and there r no scratches or blemishes on it.moreover its a brand new cd.

The error message could be an indication of faulty or mis-matched RAM. It happened to me when I added some RAM. Took the new RAM out and all was well again. If you haven't added any RAM recently then your existing RAM may be faulty.
