Question Windows Excel 2000

When I used to create macros in Lotus 1-2-3, I could incorporate cursor movements into the macro. For instance if, after executing a series of commands in one cell, I wanted the macro to move the cursor down to the cell below and continue executing there, I would type {down} or {d} into the macro code. How can I execute similar cursor movements within a macro in Excel? My Excel version is 9.0.6926 SP-3. Thanks.
