Outlook 2000 won't start

I open the Outlook icon and it come to the main screen and the startup screen pops up (you know the outlook badge) but then it just freezes. Won't let me do anything else. I have tried scanning for spyware, viruses, restarting in safe mode, open outlook in safe mode. Nothing is letting me get past the startup screen. Any ideas
