I recently got into the world of web hosting. After my accont was activated the email said (these are they exact words)

"will have to change your nameservers to the following in order for your
site to
resolve to our servers:

Nameserver 1: ns1.1l.com
Nameserver 2: ns2.1l.com"

what are nameservers and how do I resolve to them

The names server is the computer that directs traffic to their domain. The company that they registered the domain name with needs to know the names servers so that when someone enters in the domain name, it goes to the right place.
