Nero 7 - No picture in TV Preview Screen

I have recently upgraded from Nero 6 to 7 and am experience problems with Nero Vision. The small television screen will not display anything, it remains black, this happens in play mode (but the sound track plays fine) or in edit mode.

The final Preview TV screen also does not display and remains black, again the sound is fine.

Also the final burn to DVD or CD is perfect.

I have logged the issue with Nero but as yet have had no response.

Does anyone know what the issue is ... it may be something fairly simple .. but for the life of me I can't figure it out.

Have you checked with the website? Codecs come to mind, but as I don't use Nero Vision, I don't know what it uses. Couldn't see anything in the FAQ, but they do have a contact email, for tech support, if noone else has the problem.

Yeah, my first stop was their website but no luck, I have also emailed them but no-reply as yet.

I have checked all the codecs and they match the laptop, where the preview screen does work.

A work around has been to double click the preview screen to make it full screen then back-out of the full screen and voila! I have a preview.

Even uninstalling ( a full removal and register check) and reinstalling makes no difference.

I will post the solution, if and when I have it.
