repair zipped file CRC failed

I seem to remember in win 95 or 98 a winzip fix program.
is there a fix program for zip files created in win XP

I have a zipped file that gives me the CRC failed, file is corrupt. message when i try to unzip it.
Does anyone know how to repair this error problem.

Hi, I think the program you are refering to is PKZIPFIX.EXE from PKWARE, INC. They were in on the beginning of ZIP many yrs ago. They also have PKZIP and PKUNZIP. Their programs works on all XXXX.ZIPs. They used to have good workable demos. Go to their site and see what you can get.
