Outlook 6.0 Express Problem

When I go to switch identities in Outlook, it asks for the identity password. Problem is the user never had top put a password in before. I reinstalled 6.0 Express and when I open it back up for that identity, it is prompting for the identity password. It is not the email account password or the user login, which I tried. Is there a way to override the password, delete it or whatever in order to retrieve the old messages? If I try to import the messages to a new identity, it prompts for the password. How can I remove the password without knowing it, or at least reset it?

Have you tried just pressing the Enter key? Sometimes people poke around in the password setup, decide not to bother but have pressed the Enter key when the "Enter password" box is selected. That can cause the behavior you're seeing.

I have tried just hitting enter, and how would using a different software for mail help me gain access to the messages on this identity. Need a way to reset or delete that password.
