I havejust installed a new pc monitoe. Everything seemed fine until i re-booted and now the screen has a pretty pink checked background - made up oif what look like exclamation marks. I have checked the cables and they seem fine.

Please help

What you describe sounds like the "Feather texture" background (wallpaper) image is selected. To change that, go to Start>Control Panel>Appearance and Themes>Display>Desktop tab and choose something else in the Background list. When you find one you like, click OK.
