I'm only posting here because I see it's been awhile and nobody else did.

However, I cannot answer your question, because I was very diligent in not upgrading to version 9, and will continue to be diligent in that regard.

Why? Because I use Winamp3 to listen to all my music and to view all my videos, and upgrading to Windows Media Player v9 breaks support for other players to play WMA files, including Winamp3. So, if you mistakingly upgraded to v9, and intend on using Winamp, then try and reinstall the Windows Media Player Codecs (versions 7 and 8 codecs) from FRED Utility Downloads and see if that helps.

i use music match. its easier for burning cds. it has a click and drag concept that i love. but as for windows media player, im not too sure on burning capabilities. i say you just dont bother because frankly i hate windows media player in words of music but for playing movies its ok.
