What Windows version did you use to make the backup and what Windows version are you using now to try to retrieve it?

See if anything on http://www.fpns.net/willy/msbackup.htm helps. It's all about retrieving data from qic files.

Hi, It always needs to make a catalog. Cats are only stored on the backup. It's just looking to see what backups are on the disk to let you choose the one you want. Let it do it. Pick the one you want and you can then pike through all the files and restore any or all. I have been using it for years with 98SE. Took some getting used to, but no problem now. Luck, Jim
