8,000 workstations and 200-some servers. We were using a combination of AVG and NA's VirusScan, I researched and tested (VMware server testing on 2000 Professional, XP Pro (SP1&2), Server 2000 (Advanced) and Server 2003 (Standard,Enterprise) using a template of 1,200 known viruses, 300 trojans, and misc. captured Office macros) software for a few months and came to the conclusion that NOD32 and KAV were the best AV scanners available. Looking at making a purchase of KAV due to their more competitive pricing, and fairly equal abilities.
Linux fanboi remarks won't help anyone here (although KAV does offer a Linux client). Neither do erroneous "footprint" comments, as KAV is 11MB installed and requires 12MB memory. If you want no hassle, balls to the wall protection, go with KAV or NOD32. AVG is, well, you get what you pay for (and slightly more, in this case). Not to mention KAV comes with INSTANTENOUS e-mail/phone support, and a forum FULL of KAV fanbois just waiting to help.
Came by here looking for arguments to include in my proposal of purchase, thought I'd leave my no-bullshit $0.02. Thanks.

The price also doubled this year I believe, so that a year's protection is aroun $60.
