Scheduling Utility

Hi there. I'm looking for some advice on a good utility.

I am trying to schedule about 60-some volunteers into a schedule of two-hour blocks each, 7 days a week.

For example, each person has given me their available volunteer times (for example, "I am open Mondays from 4 to 8 p.m., and Thursdays from noon to 3 p.m.").

Each of the 60 people have given me these sorts of personal time availabilities to volunteer in our organization but I am not looking forward to the daunting task of putting it all together.

In the past, I made a horizontal chart, with blocks for each hour of the day and arrows drawn across to indicate when each person was available.

It worked fairly well, but this year, we have many new volunteers and it'll be more daunting to complete.

Is there a simple, free, (or cheap) utility out there that can take all the names and times and put together a schedule? It seems an easy enough application.

What you need is project management software and probably the cheapest you could get is Microsoft Project (which is not cheap by the way)....Google for "Project Management software" you find a tone of them out there.
