Please Help!!! Ea Games Wont Play!!

I just dont get it! I am not an idiot! UGH!

I recently upgraded my computer with a new mobo, processor, ram, well, basically, it was more like building a new comp.

My problem is simple. EA Games wont play. I have Battlefield 1942, and Battlefield 2 and neither will play. They install/uninstall fine, yet when you click the desktop or root folder icon the screen looks like it is about to load the game (goes black) then it kicks back out to the desktop with no error, or anything!

Both of these games have played fine before. I played them on this new system before, and was blown away initially by the lack of lag and speed of the gameplay, but for some reason they wont work now! DOOM3, Americas Army and other games do work, but not these.. very odd, and frustrating.

My Comps Specs are:

P4 3.2 ghz
2 gig pc3200 ddr400
ASUS P4P800-E Deluxe mother board
ATI X800 XL graphics card
SATA 160GB Drive
WinXP Pro SP2


Programs that may interfere, are installed but not running when games wont play:

Daemon Tools

I don't know what to do, I formatted my HD and reinstalled XP and still the same crap. Im hoping someone out there can relate, or know what the prob may be.. bare in mind that BF2 DID play on this system at one point..

My system meets and exceeds the necessary power needed to run these games, and these games are all very very new, and very popular right now.

I posted my system stats above, these games werent even around in 98, Battlefield 2 came out less than a year ago.

Assuming those games were copied (for backup of your originals) and loaded with Daemon it may not work.

I work a few nights a week at a internet/gaming spot and I have seen the "EA crash" on this guy's puter after he installed a EA copy using Daemon.
I heard that EA and some other current games can recognize Daemon tools and other virtual drive software when being installed. I really cannot verify this.

Without going into to much detail (because this is venturing into the "darkside") another reason is ISO files and EA don't mix well.

I have never had a problem with original/store bought games even after hours and hours of play. I really don't think you need to back them up. Just handle the disks with care.

Well I guess you'll have to use your originals or buy the games that you want to play! Good luck

Yes Madcat I have read similar issues on game sites.

If Siqbeatz has the original game CDs I sugest that he remove Daemon Tools completely from his PC then try his games.

If he needs Daemon Tools to mount an image to play his EA games, perhaps storing and running Daemon Tools from another partition on his PC may help.
