screen feezes, desktop disappers to dark background clicks and comes back...why

when i am on the internet the cursor freezes, the desktop disappears, the screen goes blank and the screen will reappear . sometimes when the screen freezes i would press ctrl and esc at the same time and the screen will go blank, clicks and reappear...why

This is a difficult one becuse you really have not given us much detail.

The problem that you are discribing could be from a number of causes.

if you could answer these questions we may be in a better position to help you.

Your PC specifcations?

The brower or browsers you are using, IE6, Opera, Firefox, Mozilla?

Have you tried repairing or reinstalling your browser?

Did you install or uninstall anything before the problem started?

Was the problem there from the start, or intermitent at first then all the time?

Do other running programs freeze up when this happens?

Your internet Connection, ADSL, Cable, Wireless Broadband, Dial Up?

Your connection Speed?

Is your access direct or through a network?

Do you scan regularly for Spyware............what do you use?

Have you had a browser Hijack..............if so did you use the program HiJackThis and remove anything?

Do you use a firewall............What type, is it possible that it is blocking your access?
