how to recover/remove Microsoft word document password

I have a word file which is password protected but forgotten the password.

I searched the internet for a free password recovery software but can't find one. All software That I have found require some type of payment.

I am wondering if anyone knows if there is a shareware or a free software to recover or remove word documents passwords.

Well, a password in MS Word Document can be removed but cannot be recovered. It is true that if you go for search for a free software on internet than you will not find it. This is because it is assumed that you don't have rights to open the file which could be an important one.

Well if you are owner of the file and had forgotten your password and the file really means to you then the only option with you is to buy a software and get it recovered.
