Corel Quattro Time Formulas

Im creating a spreadsheet that consists of calculating and totalling a list of times. For example, if I wanted to add 6:45(6hrs 45min) and 8:30(8hr 30min) I should come up with 15:15(15hr 15min), but instead i get 3:15 as if it were continuing to count around the clock. Any help would be GREAT!

Thanks

You want Military Time and not conventional time. Check your docs to see if Quartro has Military Time. Hope this helps a little, Jim

it doesnt go into specifics with formulas and stuff like that in any of my documents. I wouldnt know how to switch from standard to military if that is the problem. But even then, i need a formula that will accumulate a total number of hours, even if they add up to 36hrs or whatever it may be. Even if I do military time, will it only go to 34 before it starts from the beginning again?

ex. 12:40 +14:00 = 26:40

Would you happen to know anything about that?

Hi, Sorry I haven't used Quatro for years. Lotus 123 probably has same formula. Will check it soon as I find time and get back to you. Luck, Jim

Well, here is the formaula I came up with, which does ad up the times, but in a weird way.

=(F15<D15)+F15-D15+(J15<H15)+J15-H15

This is how my sheet is set up :

D15.......F15....... H15....... J15...... TOTAL
6:30AM 8:30AM 3:30PM 4:30PM 3:30

...and this works with all of the values entered, BUT, when only the first value of 6:30AM is entered it displays 17:30 in the total column. It may have to be something I have learn to live with, but if there is a way around that, I would DEFINITELY love to know. I also have a Grand Total for all the results of the TOTAL, in which that 17:30 tends to screw things up completely. Thanks again for any help! PLEASE HELP!!

Jay
