.bin or .dat conversion?

Hi, I am wondering is there is a free program out there that lets you convert either a .bin or .dat video file into a .wmv or .avi file, that doesn't slap a large logo in the corner. I have been searching for some time, with no luck. Anyways, just for the record I am indifferent between avi's and wmv's so that may make it a little easier. I will keep looking in the meantime, but I would much appreciate your help.

Oh, never mind. I found a way to get it done using Nero SmartStart and Windows Movie Maker.

Actually no, I just extracted the .DAT file, converted it into a .mpg file using Nero Smartstart, then exported it as a .wmv file using Windows Movie Maker, and it works fine! Thanks for your help though!
