Unable to Install Games

Guys out there, please help me

I have a PIV with 256RAM & 40GB HDD. Windows XP Pro is installed. The problem is whenever i am tryin to install a game i am getting a message
UNINSTALLSHIELD IS RUNNING PLEASE CLOSE THE PROGRAM AND RUN THE SETUP AGAIN

Can anyone tell me what the problem is???
