limewire

im kinda new here but...

i have downloaded limewire i know some of u in here dont believe in illegal downloads but we all do it...anyways after i finish installing it it doesnt seem to run WTF

i had limewire installed in my computer a while ago but i uninstalled it

so can somebody help?

i have never herd of this but i use limewire pro... its good foir downloading but if u have truble u should try torrent programs like azereus and bitlord they are fast and dont have spyware or anything.... seems also sometimes speeds are better on torrents that on limewire... cause torrents are of a server whereas limewire is p2p....

you can't just say it doesn't run- does it not search, not recognize the any files, not connect?
what doesn't work with the program?
check your settings and make sure the connection properties are the same as your internet connections and make sure the program setup file you downloaded isn't corrupted. to double check, download it from a reliable source, like download.com.

if u are using a router/firewall u may need to open a port for limewire to connect to the internet

can't use limewire

Ok im having the same prob. I have done everything that limewire has listed and some more. When i connect to limewire it say i have a firewall or no internet connection. I have my xp fire wall shut off and im running AVG antivrus. Im running xp pro a 160 gig seagate harddrive on 4600 dell 768 memory. pentium 4. I have also downloaded bitlord bitcomment bearshare you name it and i cant connect to any of them. I just put xp pro on here could it be something i did when downloading it. Oh yah im on alltel dsl. Help and thanks

Not sure what the problem is but I would try using a proxy server.

Isps do not like filesharing one little bit.
