Windows Media Player

Running XP SP2 i dont remember what version of Win Media player did i have before this v10 infact i installed v10 ages ago and now i have trouble playing wmv files as error C00D11CD occurs i want to play wmv files but couldn't find where the prob is...

Can anyone tell me which software to use instead... i have tried around 7-8 other softwarez but most of them are actually running win media player at back-end (perhaps) since when i play those files same error box bang on screen... what to do ?

I have even downloaded codecs (codec-download.com) for that but still same!!!

Been seeing similar reports about WMP10, there's a thread going right now about it at Videohelp. Try Media Player Classic or Videolan, both free.
