ipod and itunes are planning against me!

Hey everyone,

This is kind of confusing so bare with me.

Today I got a new ipod because my old one stopped functioning. So when I plugged in the new ipod, my computer told me I had to install the new CD that came with my new ipod. So I did so but when I was installing it, I accidently used the old serial number instead of the new serial number for my new ipod. So when I clicked on the itunes this folder flashed up and flashed away so I couldn't click on it.

Well, I tried uninstalling everything itunes on my computer and re-installing the CD using the new serial number but it doesnt work.

I've done this for over an hour.

If someone can please help me i would be truly grateful

Because of now, I am feeling completely blonde and computer retarted which isnt too pleasing.

Even my older brother who used to fix computers for a living is stumped
