Weird problem while typing

I have this strange problem while typing. Besically, when I type something and the mouse is near the text it will move where the text is and I would be in the middle of old text. I have a laptop and this happened after I re-instaled the system. Before I did not have this problem. Also if I keep the mouse in the different spot than the typing window it will either close the window or press star button. I don't know what is wrong. I know I did not have this problem with old system. Is there a way to fix it? Please help me.

By the way it happens in all sorts of programs (word, msn chat, msn mess.).

Look in Control Panel>Mouse and see if you have a Pointer Options tab. If so, click on it and see what options are enabled. Disable any (by unchecking them) you think might be creating the problems. Click OK to save the changes and close the window.
