How to Change Which App Opens Files

I've forgotten how to do this. At the moment, when I double-click on a .tiff file, my installation of Photoshop pops up and opens the file within its window. I want my tiffs to open in Acrobat Pro. Can someone remind me of how to change this? Thanks.

right click the file > select open with > select your preferred programme > tick the check box "always use this programme" (or whatever the wording is)
