audio (again ;) ) problems

hello to all!!
oper. syst. on my comp. is winxp
soundcard is onboard (asus p4se) - but without sound ;(
when trying to play any kind of music;
windowsmediaplay. (i think 10) gives me error c00d11d1
winamp : bad direct sound driver , error code 88780078
on properties for audio c-media audio device ( i had installed many of these, dont know whats wright) : status - driver is enabled but has not been started.
please answer me what must I do (download, uninstall and install) to get some sounds form comp. back
