I just got a new digital camera that came w/ some tight phot editing software. Only problem: it only runs on Windows and I'm running a Linux box...any solutions?

make and model of your cam and what software?

The software only runs on Windows. I was thinking about building a virtual machine to run windows; you know anything about that?

Most digital cameras come with a USB connector - try plugging it in and see if Linux finds it - worked for me; but until you find some software, it may be a pain to copy/paste into your home folder, etc.
Failing that try a well-known make of usb memory reader - they should take the camera memory and put it on the desktop as a "removable drive"
