Exclamation Open Office 1.1.4 spreadsheet to browser

Have Windows XP and am using OpenOffice 1.1.4. Problem is saving a spreadsheet as HTML. I have formatted the spreadsjeet using 4 borders around each cell. On page preview the overall appearance of the information is a neat table with vertical and horizontal lines.

However, when I save to HTML the vertical lines disappear when viewed in the browser. Have checked and rechecked, but can't see where I am going wrong. Have been told it may be possible to add lines in browser. Is there a code, which will let me make this change

Can anyone help.
