printer problems

I have a Lexmark 3100 printer which always prints dark picture regardless of the setting inputted can any one come up with the answer.

hmmm.. so it prints everything in black well..

1) pretty obvious but the obvious is normally things ppl miss out but check the colour catridge

2) See if you can print of a test page, test page always tries colour..

3) i kno u said u dun dis but goto printers in control panel and right click and then click on printing prefences and make sure greyscale is off!!

errm out of idea's really if tht doesnt help just have a fiddle lol

Thanks for your help in this matter as a last resort i went out and changed both color cartridges and printing is much better i must have had a faulty one . thanks again for your reply
