Windows Media Player 9 problems

Running wmp 9, asked me if i wanted to update. I did. It's now fucked up everything i play a video file through, even power dvd!

What happens now is that when i full screen, the stream of the video becomes jerky. It then goes into the left hand bottom corner of my monitor

I havent a clue how to revert back but i know this update has caused this. And before anyone posts up i dont have system restore turned on.

Im running Windows XP Professional. 1280x1024 resolution at a refresh rate of 60Hz

Any ideas?

Make sure you have all the codecs you need, that's the first step. When I installed WMP9 on my old computer, I swear it ate all my codecs and I had to reinstall all of them.
