I used to use a MAC and utilized Appleworks a great deal. I need Windows software that will allow me to create a very simple database like Appleworks did. Is there any software program title that you are familiar with that will do this? Looked into MS Access - it is expensive and I really dont need much so think this is way beyond my needs...

Just need to create a database with 4 or 5 fields, allows for unlimited records, sorts without losing record info (this is why a spreadsheet doesnt work for me here!).........

Openoffice is free and cross-platform with everything but Mac. Constantly upgraded and improved. Here is the spreadsheet tool called Calc.

Tried OpenOffice and Calc .... It is a spreadsheet...... I need to create a database.......

I have the same problem now, being forced to migrate my Mac lab to Windows. Did you ever find an answer to the problem of replacing the AppleWorks database module?
