norton help please

It keeps me on alarming these:

open your norton product to resolve these issues.

to prevent duplicate security status alerts, use my existing Norton product alerts and turn off redundant windows security center alerts (recommended)

the reason this window pop up keeps on showing was due to my virus protection is out of date already. what can I do to turn off this security alert?

I strongly advise getting rid of Norton, I find it to be a pain is the a**. Get a firewall like McAfee and antivirus like AVG. They are easier to use.

I support that recommendation. Norton AV and firewall are both too demanding on system resources and not at all user-friendly. And norton av detection rate isn't even all that great. This one is better by far and it's free: http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

I agree with pip22, get Avast Home free, it's the best AV i have ever used and it's free.
