Windows Media Player

Help. Windows Media Player is tries to open any programme I try to run. I can open some programmes by right clicking on the icon and clicking on "run as" but I would like to revert to normal porgramme opening. Any ideas. Note - I am virtually computer illiterate so any advice should be as idiot proof as possible

Thanks

Hi

When you say it tries to open any 'programme', do you mean that it tries to run other software programmes within itself, or do you mean it tries to open any kind of media, mp3, DVD, AVI file as the default player?? I can help you with the latter, but probably not the former, lol....
