Angry Rebooting Nuisance

I have a 1.2 GHZ Athlon processor, 256 of RAM and enough video memory, with which playing games on my machine is a joy until I want to exit back to windows wherupon a blue screen appears informing me that memory is being dumped to disc. An unstoppable countdown ensues after which machine restarts, I have never managed to read the error screen contents completely (before the crazy fast countdown finishes), but I have seen an "IRQ_NOT_LESS_THAN_EQUAL". A recommendation to edit some BIOS settings too doesn't work. What does this mean and how do I get rid of this annoying error?

Your blue screen (a.k.a. BSOD = Blue Screen Of Death) is most likely caused by a buggy display driver. Check with your video card manufacturer (i.e., upgrade the driver (or downgrade)).

You can (most likely) eliminate the useless memory dump and make the BSOD remain on-screen until you reboot manually by modifying the settings under Control Panel -> System Properties -> Advanced -> Startup and Recovery -> System Failure. It won't fix anything, just wanted to let you know.

Good luck,
