Try out McAfee Enterprise 8.0.0/8.0.1i I swear it will zap whatever bug you have just make sure you have the latest update. I recovered 'dead' Harddisc with it recently it has certainly earned my respect.

BS! "M" is sooooo far behind. Try Searching for Free (donations appreciated though)"Spybot Search & Destroy" and download. This is the BEST FREE system! You can download it in three forms: Easy, Normal and Advanced. Guaranteed to find mainly 'spyware' but does find viruses, trojans and such occasionally. It's best to have more than one anti-everything anyway. - Aloha, Happy

OOPS!, sorry, I wanted to mention that McAfee does't have ANY FREE ANYTHING, but they will let you try their stuff out for 30 to 90 days. Then, unless you notify them before the 30 to 90 days are up, they'll charge your credit card (needed to use "free" trials) before you know it! Aloha again, Happy

Smile Spybot Search and Destroy

I also use spybot both at work and at home.

Since I am on the computer from 8-5pm Mon-Fri at work and my computer is always on the internet I was getting these annoying pop ups that spybot was not catching/deleting.
I discovered Superadblocker and it got rid of the annoyance instantly.
Since downloading the superadblocker, I haven't had any annoying problems. I use both spybot and superadblocker and chances are, either one will catch and destroy whatever finds it way onto my computer.
Both programs are easy to use and easy to customize.
I believe you can download a free trial version of superadblocker at download.com.

The only glitch I think I get with superadblocker is that a forum website I visit on a daily basis during my lunch hour is now very slow to load up since I got the superadblocker. I don't know what the blocker is doing to cause this website forum to load up slower now. But, am afraid to take off the blocker because I'll get "Mr. Annoyance" again. LOL

AVG is Free. Updates at least 3-5x a month.

You are already using what I consider to be the best, free Anti-Vurus program. Another very good alternative would be Free avast! 4 Home Edition

With respect to free Anti-Spyware, Anti-Malware, etcetera, programs, the following are extremely efficient, IMO.

AVG Anti-Spyware Free

a-squared Free

Note: No one product eradicates all malware. It doesn't work that way, unfortunately. What one misses, another picks up and vice versa.

Excellent motto to remember when thinking about malware removal/prevention.

My personal favourite guide on this topic is here ....
