Adding Contacts to Outlook Journal

Ok the title isn't exactly correct, but I'm dependent on Journal and want to know how to automatically add individuals so that their activities are tracked. I know how to do it through Journal options and under the "for these contacts" window. The question is how do i do it automatically when i add a new contact. I can't believe that i have to go into Journal options everytime and find the contact that i just added. Right now i do it when i remember and thats only when i need to find something that isn't tracked because the name is not checked.
