Detailed Bandwidth Monitoring

Hi Guys

Wonder if you can help me. I have a bit of a problem with tracking bandwidth at one of my clients, and I am looking for a piece of software that can help me out.

My problem is this. All the users have internet access through a router which dails an ADSL account. I am tracking their program use and time spent on specific applications etc. But I need to see how much bandwidth each user uses.

Now there are loads of bandwidth trackers out there (as my failed search for the right one has shown), but I can't seem to find one that tracks bandwidth use on specific ports, such as port 80 for IE. Also their work on the accounting software is done directly on the server, which means constant network traffic. So with the programs that I have found up to now, I am getting bandwidth use on a specific network adapter, but for ALL traffic, not specific traffic.

So if anyone knows of a program that could help me out, I would really appreciate it.

I would install SNMP protocol on every ones computer and the install MRTG of a stand alone system and track all the traffic.

SNMP is a built-in protocol in Windows operating system, you just have to enable it and MRTG is one the best traffic monitoring software (there are many flavor) just get you hand on to the free version.
