Windows Media Player Problem.

Hi, I have Windows XP2, Media Player 11 , Power DVD, Vet antivurus and spyware, with all updates.
I tried to download DVD fab decrypter but couldn't work it out so uninstalled it but, since then, my media player won't play DVD's. I don't know if this has anything to do with it as I'm not very experienced with computers but the Media Player was operating okay until then.

When I put the DVD into the computer it seems to start up okay as it shows the lists at the side, but then it goes to a dark screen showing the controls at the bottom, then just a dark screen. When I click onto it, the lists come back on, but nothing happens.

The DVD burner does work as I can play the DVD's on the Power DVD player I have installed, but I would like to have the Media Player working again.

Would appreciate your help, but please, not too technical as I am a Senior with limited experience. (I can install and uninstall from the Control Panel if that's any help) Thank you.

Hi, I removed Windows Media Player 11 , then re-installed it, and it has fixed the problem . Thank you.
