Roxio Easy CD Creator

I am trying to backup my files in preparation for an OS reinstall (Windows ME). I placed all my files and folders into one folder and tried to copy onto a CD-R. Roxio did not copy all my files and folders. It would stop when it would find a file with an extension that was too long. I then tried to copy again but it still would not take all my files. I had to separate the files in order to copy (My Pictures, Address Book, Calendar, etc. What am I doing wrong???...Roxios insructions don't help.....

Although I haven't been there lately, you may want to check out roxio.com for any updates. I kept getting errors using my easy cd creator program and one visit (and longggg download later) and it was working fine. Can't hurt to check. Good luck.

There is a great little program that allows you to fix this aggravating problem before you start your burn named: Long Filename Finder. I do not know how to attach a zip file (small as it is) to this post or I would do so. Suggest you do a google search for it. Works like a charm!
