Compatible Ink cartridges

Can anyone recommend a decent compatible ink cartridge(s) for my Canon i865 printer? Genuine cartridges are far too dear, and the last set of compatibles I purchased (can't remember their name) are of poor quality ie colours are not as they should be.

Thanks justask

Where I live (france) it's quite rural and I've never seen a refill store, only multimedia stores and supermarkets in the main towns, neither of whom seem to stock up-to-date items. Our local LeClerc has Canon cartridges but want 11,99 Euros each (and I need 6)
I would need to go to perhaps Agen (30 miles each way) or similar to search and therefore find it easier to buy over the web

I, and others I know who have Canon printers, find trouble with compatibles.

They just don't seem to want to work properly.

Unfortunately I have taken the decision to stick with Canon original inks but get them delivered & reasonably priced from Valueshop.....

http://www.valueshop.co.uk/

(Had a problem once, phoned them, sorted it out immediately).

Hope this helps.

Thanks geffklusner. Since my posting I have purchased a Canon IP6700d. Unfortunately, I didn't realise at the time that the cartridges are chipped and a replacement set cost around 90 Euros.
Lovely machine, although I keep getting an error message saying I have more than one magenta cartridge installed (I don't and theres no way more than one can be installed).
From other forums it seems this message appears on almost every IP6700d printer and is a known fault with no actual remedy. It's even mentioned in the handbook.
