Sality.Naj virus

Hi guys

I've been having this problem for over a month now and it's getting really frustrating.

I seem to be getting many messages in my outlook from unknown people that contain the sality.NAJ virus. My AV picks these messages up and deletes them after i prompt it to do so.

However it's become really annoying now as some days i seem to be getting 6 - 10 messages of this sort. They have no subject and no text. Just plain messages.

I recall that i used to be able to block messages from a certain senders domain. Can't remember if it was an outlook feature or an AV feature. However, i don't want to be blocking the domains of all the messages as some are from the yahoo.com domain. I've tried replying to the mails to ask them to stop but to no avail. One of the senders even seems to be a global communications company.

Does anyone have any hints or tips to put a stop to this.

Im using outlook with NOD32 AV and ZoneAlarm F/W.

Many thanks

Thumbs up

You mentioned a lot of messages due to the virus, did you remove it??

Worth looking at the following website (see link below):

Just to make it clear

I'm receiving the messages from unknown sources. The messages contain the virus. NOD32 picks them up whilst downloading messages and they are deleted promptly. I run scans on the system regularly and the particular virus is not found. Hence my system is clean.

The AV is doing it's job properly. My system is not infected but i'm getting really really peeved as i don't even know the senders or why i'm getting these messages.

Thanx for your reply. I'll have a look at the link you provided.
