It sounds like you need an MPEG2 codec. To verify that, get either MediaPlayerClassic or VideoLAN, neither need an MPEG2 codec:

Okay, say your DVDs now play. Either continue using one of the above or get the codec. The trouble is, you'll have to either get it under license, or find a hacked one. Like this one, dunno how stable it is:

Or get the trial of PowerDVD, a payware player. Whether you buy it or not, it will install a good MPEG2 codec. Good luck.

Question DVD Copy Problems

I am currently using a trial version of DVDFabPlatinum 3.1.7.0. Although the program seems to work pretty good in the copy process, each time I finish and close the program, it locks up my computer. I can't get to anything else and always need to reboot. Anyone have any suggestions of what may be wrong. I am using XP Home.
Appreciate any help.
Thanks!
